Piet de Beer (Iron Maiden) Passed on 2 February 2008 |

It is with great sadness
to inform the Biking Community of the tragic passing of Piet de Beer, President
Iron Maiden, West Rand after a motor vehicle accident Saturday 2 February 2008.
Piet Jr was also injured in the accident and is recovering in hospital. We as
the WRBA PC and the Jo’burg PC extend our condolences to Katie, family, friends
and the Iron Maidens. We are sad about Piet’s passing but our trust is in God
whose love, mercy and grace endures forever. We are thankful for the time God
has allowed Piet to enrich our lives and the wonderful memories he leaves
behind. |

To Piet, For the laughs we've shared, for the
tears we've cried. For the first Hello's and the last goodbye's. For the
friend we've found and the friend we've lost. Remember it all, and make
memories that will last (like Piet always did) Our thoughts are with Kate,
Pietie, Brent and Angela as we know what they've lost because we've lost a
friend, a brother and a President!! He will be dearly missed by Morne
(Vice), Riaan, Jo-ann, Adele & Erma!!

Piet, who was known to me but of far more relevance is what he has done for the

Iron Maiden lost another member this weekend, Piet de
Beer - President of
Iron Maiden JHB, who passed away due to a car accident on Saturday night
02 February 2008 and with a very heavy heart, would like to convey our
condolences to Kate, his wife, the children and rest of his family including
their friends and the
Iron Maiden Club. You guys are in our thoughts and prayers. We also
pray for Pierrie their son to get well soon as he is still in hospital after the

hard to understand. The loss of a love one is difficult to bear but the sorrow
that you feel is a sorrow that we all share. Just know that God will give you

from us on Saturday, in a car accident. I have known Piet for some time, and had
the opportunity in chatting to him, at the day jol of the Chains, just before he
